Ed Sheeran has found himself star-struck with Papoose’s wordplay in his music. The two ran into each other at the New York Knicks game against Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, November 7.
Sheeran told Papoose that he’s a huge fan of him and the rapper posted a video of the interaction on Instagram, where Sheeran praises his wordplay ability. The singer said the following of Papoose:
“I first discovered Papoose’s music and I’ve got a bit star-struck when I just met him and it’s an absolute pleasure. I think your wordplay is fantastic and phenomenal and it’s an absolute pleasure to meet you. Everyone knows you’ve got fantastic wordplay. Everyone does.”
Papoose was pleasantly surprised to find out that Ed Sheeran was such a big fan of him. He felt honored that the English songwriter is a supporter and was humble enough to approach him and talk to him. He showed respect to the move by writing the following in the post’s caption:
“Honored to find out @teddysphotos is a fan/supporter of my music. He’s extremely talented. But was still humble enough to approach me. And show his appreciation, for what I do. Much respect.”
Rappers Fat Joe and Juelz Santana also commented on the video, showing their admiration for the praise by Ed Sheeran for Papoose. This isn’t the first time Sheeran has shown love for rappers. Eminem and Ed Sheeran are pen pals after they connected over a rather obscure hobby.
