G-Eazy recently got into trouble with the law for getting into a bar brawl in NYC. The rapper was arrested in September originally on the charge of misdemeanor assault.
However, G-Eazy appeared in a courtroom in New York City on Monday, where he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct, which is a lower charge. The plea was accepted, and as a result the rapper will avoid time behind bars.
According to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, G-Eazy has been assigned to a diversion program instead. The rapper must complete 3 Manhattan Justice Opportunities sessions.
What this essentially means, is that instead of being incarcerated, G-Eazy will be meeting with social workers and case managers, who work to put people back on a positive path.
The rapper is due back in court in January to ensure his compliance with his sentence. Here’s hoping that G-Eazy stays out of trouble in the future.
