Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has handed down jail sentence to Adam “Pacman” Jones over his role in a bar brawl that took place at Clutch OTR in Cincinnati, Ohio, earlier this year, according to TMZ.
According to police officials, the former NFL star went berserk on venue staffers and knocked out a bouncer during the fight with the establishment’s employees. The incident took place on February 14.
Jones, on the other hand, claims innocence and says he acted in self-defense and that he did “what I needed to do.” Law enforcement officials took him into custody following the brawl and strapped him with two misdemeanor assault charges.
The 38-year-old recently pleaded no contest to the charges and was handed down 180 days (150 of them being suspended) behind bars. That means his time in jail will run out after 30 days, provided he remain clean during his stay inside.
He’s expected to report to prison authorities on November 29. This isn’t the first time the ex-footballer has faced a prison sentence. In 2019, he was sentenced to 10 days in jail for display of aggressive behavior at a casino.
