Issa Rae has mentioned time and time again that she is quite obsessed with Drake. The Rapper squashed his famed four year old beef with Meek Mill in 2018 but it seems like Issa Rae still has not forgiven Meek.

Rae previously mentioned in Watch What Happens Live with Andy Chen that when she first met Drake she just smelled him for three minutes. To call Rae a superfan will be an understatement.

In her hit HBO series “Insecure” she featured a drake lyric in every episode. Dedicating the entire season one to the artist. ”We have a Drake lyric in every episode as an Easter egg,” she revealed “That was a personal thing for me, but that’s not something that we bang you over the head with.”

During her appearance on The ETCs with Kevin Durant, the famed television producer and actress explained her obsession with the Toronto Rapper and the lengths she goes to defend him. While there seemed to be some disagreement over Drake’s new album Certified Lover Boy, Issa stops cold when the NBA star and his co-host mention Meek Mill.;

“I have not listened to Meek Mill,”
“Y’all forgave him?” Rae questions
“For the Drake thing?” Durant asks. “You didn’t forgive him.” Eddie points out that even Drake forgave Meek,

“I’m the girlfriend that’s like ‘He asked for no onions!’ You know, so that’s like I just felt protective of him with [Meek Mill] and Pusha T.” Issa asserted.

Drake amassed millions of fans over the years but Rae’s admiration for Drake knows no bounds. She is a certified Drizzy STAN or should we call her Certified Lover Girl? Guess we will never get to listen to Meek or Pusha T in Rae’s shows.
