Kanye West has officially apologized to Soulja Boy for not including his verse on Donda. The widely publicized beef is now over and fans can rest easy again. Ye shared a screen shot of his apology via Instagram. Soulja Boy responded affirmatively. That’s it and that’s all.
Kanye reached out to his would-be collaborator via text message. He shared the brief conversation with fans, settling the feud once and for all. All Soulja Boy wanted all along was an apology.
“Yo it’s Ye
Love you bro
I should have told you I wasn’t gonna use the verse”
Soulja Boy has not responded to Kanye’s post. Regardless, it sounds like the beef is squashed. Maybe fans will even see the pair try another collab in the future.
The feud between the two rappers had escalated after Kanye dissed Soulja Boy’s verse. He told N.O.R.E. on the Drink Champs podcast that he simply didn’t like it, so he didn’t include it. The back and forth has been going on since Soulja realized he was excluded from Donda.
Both men seem poised to move on from the feud. In the world of rap, these things often resolve themselves over time. Kanye West and Soulja Boy seem like they just needed to vent and cool off for a while. Ye would also like to bring his feud with Drake to an end.
