Young Thug is most definitely one of the most beloved rappers in the Hip-Hop world and he is well aware of his skills at dropping a verse. Even the likes of Lil Wayne have enjoyed working with him. It seems social media has had its toll on him.
Freedom of speech is a fundamental right in several countries all over the world. However, that has been proven wrong in various instances as social media has shown that it dictates what can be said and what cannot. Many have spoken out against cancel culture as well.
In a similar sense, cancel culture is now prevalent all over the world and has far-reaching consequences as anyone is at the risk of being cancelled for saying something that might be seen as offensive to others.
Young Thug is certainly not a fan of social media as he has made sure to not be active on any social media platform. The Shade Room took to Instagram and uploaded a short clip of Young Thug, where the rapper could be seen saying that social media depresses him.
“Bro I just noticed, like, when I look at the internet, when I look at Instagram and you know, Twitter and sh*t, I get depressed, bro. This sh*t is like, burnt the f*ck out. This sh*t depressing.”
The advent of social media has its up and downs, as it has also led to a lot of toxicity. Even celebrities such as Young Thug aren’t immune to the negativity, so it is understandable why he finds social media depressing.
