Travis Scott’s name has made headlines lately for reasons he certainly wouldn’t have wanted. This is because Scott’s latest Astroworld concert ended in utter tragedy. It seems the tragedy will cost an exorbitant amount of money.
As reported earlier, Travis Scott’s first night of his Astroworld concert in Houston ended in the deaths of 8 people after a stampede broke out. On top of that, more than 300 people also suffered injuries.
Around 9 PM, people began surging toward the stage. People got crushed, which led to mass hysteria. All of this led to 8 people losing their lives in the tragic incident. In addition to that, 11 people went into cardiac arrest and were rushed to the hospital.
According to mysanantonio, San Antonio-based attorney Thomas J. Henry, who is representing the victims of the concert, states that the damages will be in the billions in the lawsuit against Travis Scott, Drake, Live Nation, and NRG stadium.
“More and more injured victims are contacting my firm by the hour,” Thomas J. Henry said in a press statement. “While we are all still working to understand the full scope of the Astroworld tragedy, I believe the damages suffered by its victims could total in the billions.”
Several victims from the Astroworld concert also showed off their horrific injuries recently. The concert riot was also said to be a targeted attack. Fans even tried to stop the concert when the riot started during the concert but to no avail. We hope such a horrific incident never happens again.
