Travis Scott’s name has made headlines lately for reasons he certainly wouldn’t have wanted. This is because Scott’s latest Astroworld concert ended in utter tragedy. It seems recent audio from the concert has revealed horrific details.
As reported earlier, Travis Scott’s first night of his Astroworld concert in Houston ended in the deaths of 8 people after a stampede broke out. On top of that, more than 300 people also suffered injuries.
Around 9 PM, people began surging toward the stage. People got crushed, which led to mass hysteria. All of this led to 9 people losing their lives in the tragic incident. In addition to that, 11 people went into cardiac arrest and were rushed to the hospital.
Several audio clips have surfaced online of Houston Police officers and other medical personnel addressing the various issues seen during the concert. Things were clearly horrific as one voice says, “… folks are coming out of the crowd complaining of difficulty breathing.”
The audio makes it clear that authorities were well aware of how bad the situation was. Authorities even directly said, “They have to stop the show because there’s people trampled and (inaudible) not breathing.”
It was said that the Astroworld damages were estimated to be in the billions. Fans even tried to stop the concert when the riot started during the concert but to no avail. We hope such a horrific incident never happens again as better precautions should be taken to save lives.
