Tyson Beckford Drags Kanye West’s Yeezy Brand

Tyson Beckford has had an unfriendly relationship with Kanye West over the years. He’s even traded swipes with estranged wife Kim Kardashian in the past. Now, the model is speaking his mind about Kanye’s Yeezy brand.

Ye’s Yeezy collab with Adidas is a billion-dollar venture. Kanye’s brand is big business. Tyson doesn’t care, though. He recently told VladTV that he’s not impressed by Kanye’s line.

“I don’t think anything of it. It doesn’t cross my mind. It’s not something that I like. I’m just not interested. It works for others. I see people in it, but I can’t see me in it. For me personally, that brand is not for me, but obviously it’s doing well and my opinion for him don’t matter.

Good for him. It’s just not what I would I wear. I’m not saying it’s a sh*t brand, it’s just not my sh*t [laughs]. I’m an Air Force 1, Vans, Louis Vuitton guy. For me, when I do combat boots, I do like real military issued.”

Beckford did acknowledge the brand’s undeniable success. He just says it’s not for him. He likes to keep things simple and authentic. It’s what made him a fashion icon for so many years.

Tyson also said he considered Jay-Z among the most fashionable rappers. He also shouted out Nas and T.I. for their custom-made suits. Considering his life’s work, Tyson Beckford has earned his right to give out fashion critiques.
