Tom Brady appeared visibly frustrated as he addressed the media on Sunday. In the scrum after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were beaten 29-19 by the Washington Football team, Brady told reporters to make it quick. Tom Terrific wasn’t so terrific against Washington, throwing for 220 yards, two touchdowns, and two pivotal interceptions.
Brady was short with the few answers he did give. He didn’t mince words and gave simple, straightforward answers. He was obviously eager to get out of there.
“We never really played on our terms. We played from behind the whole game. They played a good game – they had a good plan…
…I mean, we have obviously — it’s just not a great day of football for us. It doesn’t matter who you play if you have a bunch of self-inflicted errors. We’ve gotta eliminate those and see if we can go out and execute the plays that are there. We started with the ball and they came away with it”
The defending Super Bowl champs lost to the then 2-6 Football Team in embarrassing fashion. Head coach Bruce Aryans also expressed his disappointment after the game. He said the energy and execution needed to win the game simply weren’t there.
Brady and the Bucs won’t have long to dwell on Sunday’s failures. They take on the Indianapolis Colts on November 28. Tampa fans are hoping Tom has it all out of his system by then.
