Nicki Minaj is certainly one of the most established female rappers in the Hip-Hop world. She has already broken quite a few records in her decade-long career and that isn’t going to change anytime soon. Minaj is also an expert in breaking the internet whenever she feels like it.
In spite of all her popularity, that doesn’t make her immune to becoming a subject of controversy from time to time. She previously tweeted a very controversial narrative when it came to COVID-19 vaccines.
Last week. Halle Berry hosted a premiere for her film ‘Bruised’ which she directed and starred in. The film also features a soundtrack full of female rappers, which was curated by both Berry and Cardi B.
Halle Berry even directly called Cardi B the Queen of Hip-Hop. Unfortunately, this really set off Nicki Minaj’s fans. The “Barbz” were furious with Cardi B being called the Queen of Hip-Hop, as many believe that moniker belongs to Nicki Minaj for her years of work.
During MTV’s 2021 Europe Music Awards, Winnie Harlow announced Nicki Minaj as the Best Hip-Hop winner as he prefaced it with “the one and only Queen of Hip Hop.” Cardi B commented on the situation as she took to Twitter and made it clear it is a childish fight.
“I know how some of you girls like to tussle over this typa childish s***… but ntm on Halle Berry. Anyway her movie #BRUISED dropping THAT SHE DIRECTED HERSELF on Netflix on November 24th. The FIRST female rap movie soundtrack!! we produced together out this FRIDAY!”
As many fans are aware, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B used to have huge beef with each other in the past. Thankfully, the two mended fences and are on much better terms now.
