Fans Slam Bravo For Airing Footage of Jen Shah’s Son With Hands Up During Raid

Jen Shah, star of Bravo’s reality series The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, has been the target of a police investigation regarding an alleged telemarketing scam. In March of 2021, she was charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and money laundering related to the phone scheme. RHOSLC caught her arrest on camera.

Law enforcement arrived at Shah’s Park City home, where they evacuated her family members from the scene. The two sons of Shah and husband Sharrief can be seen in footage taken by Homeland Security in footage that Bravo aired during the show. Fans are upset with the network for airing the awful surveillance footage.

Shah’s youngest son and another young man are clearly shown in the footage with their hands up. The two exited the house as federal enforcement agents looked on. It was a scary scene for a child. Now, their trauma has been aired to a national television audience.

As the cast was planning a girl’s trip, Jen backed out at the last minute. She had been tipped off that federal authorities were on their way. She made up a tall tale about her husband having a health issue to get out of the trip.

Next, viewers had to watch the unpleasant scene unfold. Armed officers evacuated the terrified kids out of the home. Fans took to Twitter with their angry reactions to the tasteless footage. Many found it exploitative.

“Sherieff & @TheRealJenShah are crap parents, @BravoTV & Production are crap people for showing the kids being led out the house w/ their hands up at gun point. Tacky, tasteless, & unfeeling of how those kids are going to be emotionally scarred.”

“i still don’t understand why Bravo and the production company that handled #RHOSLC felt the need to use the footage of Jen Shah’s son and nephew with their hands up when their house was being raided. that’s some disgusting sh*t to include.”

Now, the producers of the show will face the backlash of fans who can’t believe the footage made it to air. They are clearly upset that Bravo made such a short-sighted decision. Bravo is probably happy people are talking about the show. The most recent episode finished sixth on the night in the cable ratings.
