Steph Curry Says Michael Jordan Inspired Him To Make His Own Brand

Michael Jordan is certainly one of the most iconic basketball players to have ever stepped foot inside a basketball court. He is also no stranger to setting records. Now it seems Michael Jordan has inspired Steph Curry in a huge way.

Jordan is still the king when it comes to being the richest NBA star in the history of the sport. He earned more in his business ventures than he did during his time as an active NBA player. His net worth was said to be is $2.62 billion.

On the other hand, Steph Curry is currently one of the top players for the Golden State Warriors and has been touted as one of the best basketball players to have ever stepped foot inside a basketball court. Many consider him the greatest shooter of all time.

While speaking to Nick DePaula, Steph Curry talked about how the legendary Michael Jordan helped inspire Curry to make his own brand. He especially got the inspiration after talking to Jordan during the Ryder Cup.

“It came up a little bit. It was actually interesting to think about where Jordan brand was when MJ retired and where it is now. Just the amazing growth that they’ve had. Obviously he’s the GOAT, he’s a legend, he has kind of paved the way for this generation to do what we’re doing. He kinda gave the encouragement to keep doing what I’m doing and make sure it’s authentic to me.”

Michael Jordan is his own brand and there are many reasons for that as he has dabbled in various business ventures over the years. It is likely he will continue to make more money as the years go by.
