Tom Holland Explains Why He & Zendaya Kept Their Relationship Private

Tom Holland and Zendaya made headlines after they were spotted doing some serious PDA a few months ago. Many fans believed this was a long time coming as the two were inseparable ever since they met 5 years ago on the set of Spiderman: Homecoming. It seems Tom Holland has finally opened up about their relationship.

Despite the two kissing together, they have yet to confirm whether they’re dating or not. Back in September, Tom Holland sent a very personal birthday message to Zendaya which got fans talking.

While speaking to GQ magazine, Tom Holland opened up about his relationship with his Spider-Man co-star. Holland first talked about the lack of privacy due to them being celebrities.

“One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn’t really in our control anymore, and a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world.”

While Tom Holland and Zendaya are less shy about being out together now that the world knows about their romance, they still want to keep it under wraps and low key as much as possible. He explained why they kept their relationship private for so long as well.

 “I’ve always been really adamant to keep my private life private because I share so much of my life with the world anyway. We sort of felt robbed of our privacy. I don’t think it’s about not being ready — it’s just that we didn’t want to [talk about it].

It’s not a conversation that I can have without her. You know, I respect her too much to say…this isn’t my story. It’s our story. And we’ll talk about what it is when we’re ready to talk about it together.”

Tom Holland and Zendaya will keep on making sure their private life stays private. Despite that, as long as both of them are happy, fans will be happy as well.
