Vampire hunter Blade is a fan-favorite Marvel character who has yet to make an appearance in the MCU. However, that will be changing soon, as Kevin Feige announced his plans for a Blade movie in the MCU’s Phase 4.
The character was last portrayed in a movie by Wesley Snipes. As for the upcoming movie, Mahershala Ali has been confirmed for the role of Eric Brooks, the eponymous Blade.
In the Eternals post-credits sequence, Ali’s voice could be heard speaking to Kit Harrington‘s character, Dane Whitman, also known as the Black Knight.
As per a report from THR, the movie might soon find its newest cast member in Delroy Lindo. Famous for his work with Spike Lee, Lindo recently appeared in Lee’s 2020 movie, “Da 5 Bloods.”
There is no news yet as to which character Lindo might end up portraying, but that’s natural since he hasn’t been officially cast yet. One thing is for sure. No matter what character Lindo plays, it’ll be a treat to watch him perform alongside Ali.
