Fans are upset with Khloe Kardashian for staying silent over the Astroworld tragedy. In this tragedy 10 people lost their lives at a Travis Scott concert. Sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner were also present in the concert, but they chose to join celebrities weighing in on the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse.
The concert in Houston, part of the Astroworld music festival, was a two-day event that began on Friday. It turned out to be uncontrollable after a huge crowd began pushing towards the front of the stage during a performance by hometown rapper Travis Scott, who is being heavily criticized for carrying on his performance as ambulances and emergency teams entered the crowd at the event.
Khloe Kardashian is now getting criticized for her comments on the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. The Kardashians star tweeted that she was ‘speechless and disgusted’ after 17-year-old Rittenhouse was found not guilty on all counts by a jury on Friday. Twitter users immediately started commenting on Khloe’s post and expressed their anger that she spoke out on the judgment but still didn’t comment on the Astroworld tragedy. After a two-week trial, Kyle Rittenhouse walked free from court this week after shooting three people at a Black Lives Matter protest in 2020.
“You’ll comment on this but not the Travis Scott concert? Mmmmmmk. Stay in your lane lady,” said one of her followers. “I’m pretty sure you’re talking about Rittenhouse however a lot of people are about to turn those three words against you considering you didn’t say much about AstroWorld,” said another. “Did you just find out what happened at Astroworld ???” commented another.
However, others supported the star saying that she had nothing to do with what happened at Scott’s festival. One fan posted: “Some people are ridiculous and so mean!!! Why will people just continue to come for Khloe?? Geeeezzzz just cause she makes a comment, Like really,??” they asked before adding “If you don’t have anything nice to say keep all your negative words.” “Omg mean People! She had nothing to do with the concert! She doesn’t need to speak on Twitter about it,” chimed in another.
Kylie, who was present at the concert, posted a statement on Instagram the day after the tragedy. She wrote: “Travis and I are broken and devastated. My thoughts and prayers are with all who lost their lives, were injured, or were affected in any way by yesterday’s events. “And also for Travis who I know cares deeply for his fans at the Houston community.” She continued: “I want to make it clear we weren’t aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would have continued filming or performing.” But still, there was no comment from Khloe’s side.
