1000-Lb. Sisters Star Comes Out As Bisexual

1,000-Lb. Sisters from TLC has a very simple premise. It is a reality show that documents the lives of two sisters who can’t control their weight. In a special sneak-preview of the next episode, Tammy Slaton catches up with her niece, Emily.

The episode premieres tonight on TLC, but Hollywood Life got an exclusive insider peek at the new episode. Series star Tammy Slaton asks Emily if she’s dating anybody. Emily says it’s a female. Tammy joked with her niece but was accepting of the news. Emily explained how her aunt helped her become comfortable with herself.

“The way that I define myself about my sexuality is bisexual. Tammy helped me by telling me that you can’t change who you are, you can’t change who you love and who you want to be with.”

Tammy herself is pansexual. She credits her own experiences as the reason Emily felt confident to open up. The two have a special bond that now becomes even tighter.

“I was one of the first people that found out that Emily was gay. Me and Emily have a bond. Because I am pansexual, she knows she can come to me and not feel judged or whatever.”

Tammy Slaton came out as pansexual on an episode of the show earlier this year. The show captures her continued journey to try and lose weight. She says people like Emily need her around as long as possible.
