Aaron Carter & Melanie Martin Welcome First Born Child

Carter and Martin initially began dating on and off in January of 2020 and announced their engagement this past June. In March of this year, Carter revealed that Martin was pregnant after she suffered a miscarriage in June 2020. The on-again, the off-again couple rekindled their romance around the same time that they shared the news of Martin’s miscarriage, announcing their engagement shortly after.

Carter announced it on Instagram and posted a picture of himself looking at his newborn son as he cut the child’s umbilical cord at a hospital near their home in Lancaster, California.

His Picture with his newborn baby on Instagram was followed by a caption, “Emergency C Section after 13 hours of labor but my fiancé is in great health thank you lord, and the incredibly sweet loving staff here. Prince is precious I love you son.” Clearly, it was an emotional event, as Aaron writes, “Your mommy loves you as I drop tears on the phone.”

Aaron says he was the one to cut his son’s umbilical cord, and writes to Melanie, “I’m so proud of you Hunny you did it I Love you with all my heart my beautiful blessings from God.” Sources told TMZ earlier this month that the childbirth was likely to be via c-section, as Martin dealt with anemia and ulcerative colitis; the child was in breech position amid the pregnancy’s first six months, before returning into a normal position.

TMZ broke the story, Aaron and Melanie had planned on naming their son Prince as a nod to Michael Jackson. Aaron and Michael were close, and of course, Michael was known as The Prince of Pop. The music producer and DJ earlier Monday said he was ‘patiently waiting’ for the child to arrive while at Martin’s side. ‘Here we go, I Love you baby,’ Carter captioned a clip. ‘You’re so strong. I’m right by your side nothing will happen to you with me here and the great staff Nurses and doctors.’

Carter shared his next update around midnight, where he gave fans a quick tour of the delivery room. Carter also shared a grab from a FaceTime conversation with his mother, Jane, before heading off to the hospital. ‘FaceTiming w grandma,’ he wrote. ‘My amazing momma get ready to meet your new baby boy.’ The I Want Candy singer and his fiancée revealed they were expecting a little one earlier this year after Melanie suffered a devastating miscarriage last year due to stress.
