The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect everyone in the world and that includes the likes of MMA fighters, musicians and more. Even Korn’s Jonathan Davis is still suffering from the effects of COVID-19. It seems Michael Irvin is really irked with Amari Cooper regard his COVID-19 status.
Various celebrities all over the world have gotten their COVID-19 vaccine. Recently, Big Bird from Sesame Street also got his own vaccine. This also led to a lot of backlash for some reason.
This past weekend, the Dallas Cowboys suffered a huge blow as their wide receiver Amari Cooper tested positive for COVID-19, due to which he could not play. The wide receiver is not vaccinated, which meant that he wasn’t allowed to go through the same protocols that a vaccinated player would.
The Cooper situation certainly irked Cowboys legend Michael Irvin as well. While speaking to TMZ, Irvin was furious with Cooper as he claimed that the wide receiver is doing some damage to his team due to his selfishness.
“I’m absolutely hot about it. Are you joking? I got a guy who makes $21 million on the bench at home not playing. It’s crazy. You have to try to mitigate any issue that could cost you a game or a Super Bowl, and COVID is one of them. You go get vaccinated to try to mitigate it, best you can.”
The Cowboys have had a solid run so far this season but have not been able to win their last three games, which doesn’t make their situation all that good right now. We will have to wait and see when Cooper will make his return to the team.
