Dancing With The Stars season 30 finale aired on Monday, November 22, 2021. Iman Shumpert and his partner Daniella Karagach were crowned at the end of the episode. Ratings have been down across the board for the entire season, including the big finale.
This season has been down in viewership as a whole when compared to the previous seasons. According to the recorded ratings on TVSeriesFinale, the show hit a record low when it comes to number of viewers who tuned in for the finale of a season.
Despite having a huge boost in viewership from the previous episode the finale was still lackluster. It drew in 5.643 million viewers, which was up nearly 18 percent from the week before. For context, season 29 finale pulled in 8.21 million, according to TVSeriesFinale.
Evidently, there has been a huge drop in viewership. Fans have previously pointed out that the low ratings for the season are also because of Tyra Banks. Tyra took over hosting duties after the show parted ways with Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews. However, a new report by The Sun has an insider saying, executives are blaming the show’s low ratings on the talent pool and not Tyra Banks.
Fans are unhappy with the finale the show. Many believe JoJo Siwa has been robbed of her crown. “Dancing With the Stars” has yet to be renewed for season 31. If it is, it will likely return in September 2022.
