The Kyle Rittenhouse verdict hit everyone in a different way. No matter who you are, that ruling hit you. Meek Mill saw the verdict, and Donald Trump’s reaction to Rittenhouse’s freedom afterward. Needless to say, he wasn’t happy at all.
The rapper launched into a post on Instagram where he tackled the situation head-on. Meek Mill dropped that photo of Trump and Rittenhouse while proclaiming that the system was build to keep down People of Color.
Meek Mill was not shy when calling out the blatant “thumbs up” that Trump and Rittenhouse were throwing up as well.
“It is clear to see that the system is totally designed to destroy Black and Brown people! TV programming can’t hide it anymore. I don’t believe in nothing I was taught in history from public school anymore now that I’m educated! The system is the second stage of slavery and the government fully understand the damage it does to our people not having money and incarcerating most of us!”
“I was caught in tryna overcome poverty/the streets I never noticed how deep the system really is. Pay attention!”
Meek Mill wasn’t the only person to comment on the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict. The right side of the political equation is also celebrating the decision at the same time. This is, yet another, polarizing aspect of society that we’re all dealing with.
