It seems that Young Thug is in no mood to settle his dispute with the apartment complex, which allegedly misplaced his luggage, out of court. This legal nightmare might be far from over.
Charles Hoffecker, Thug’s lawyer, recently responded to JLB Peachtree Management’s claims that the “Go Crazy” singer was negligent in handling his bag that reportedly contained millions of dollars worth of contents.
According to Rolling Stone, JLB claimed the rapper did not take responsibility of his possessions and that he should have taken care of his belongings that were stolen from the lobby of the Atlanta-based apartment complex.
Hoffecker clapped back at the statement, saying the management would have hold on to the bag if they already knew who was the owner. He released a statement on behalf of Young Thug.
“The suggestion my client’s negligence — if any — outweighs the defendants’ ignores the simple facts the defendants’ employees acted to secure the property, knew whose property it was, committed to keep the property safe in a secure location, communicated to my client they would keep the property secure, and then released the property to an unknown person. Now that the defendants have filed their answer, we look forward to pursuing Young Thug’s rights through the litigation process.”
Thug said he had his Louis Vuitton bag stolen from within the apartment complex. The carrier reportedly contained $1 million worth of unreleased music stored in a hard rive, a $37,000 diamond chain, a $57,000 diamond-encrusted watch and $40,000 in cash.
