Conor McGregor is still one of the biggest draws in MMA even though he’s currently out of action with an injury. That return could see him in a heavier weight class, because Notorious has apparently been putting in the work.

The MMA world is patiently awaiting McGregor’s 2022 return to the Octagon. It will happen, but it will still be a bit of time while his leg heals. He has apparently been hitting the gym to bulk up in the process.

Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh provided an update on his fighter’s return to the Octagon. McGregor had a tough break against Dustin Poirier, but Notorious is so jacked right now he might just return as a middleweight.

“He’s going to be back in the gym, he’s going to be back on the mats now in the next couple of weeks with me. He’s doing a lot of strength training at the moment. The guy is jacked. I think he’s coming back to the UFC as a middleweight! But he’ll be back on the mats with me now shortly and we’ll start off with combat sports training again.”

Conor McGregor knows how to steal a headline by tweeting and deleting an insult at a new possible opponent. He is obviously just biding his time before that leg totally heals and he can get back to work on an actual fight and not one that just exists online.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
