Seth Rogen is never afraid to speak his mind when it comes to serious matters. A few months ago, Rogen revealed that he will no longer be working with Franco due to allegations of sexual misconduct meted against him. It seems fans tried to cancel Seth Rogen once again.
While speaking during this year’s Emmy Awards ceremony, Seth Rogen called out the Awards in a half-joking way. He stated that he would have rethought even going to the Emmys had he known it would be held in a hermetically-sealed tent and there was not a mask anywhere and also slammed them for lying.
This led to Emmy producers being upset with Seth Rogen as well. YouTuber Casey Neistat took to Twitter and stated that Los Angeles is a “crime-riddled 3rd world s***hole of a city” after his cars had been burglarized.
Seth Rogen saw Casey Neistat’s tweet and defended his hometown of Los Angeles stating that he lived there for 20 years and advised Neistat to not leave anything valuable in a big city. Neistat fired back, saying he felt violated and wanted to know if he’s allowed to be mad. Rogen responded in a way that immediately set off people.
“You can be mad but I guess I don’t personally view my car as an extension of myself and I’ve never really felt violated any of the 15 or so times my car was broken into. Once a guy accidentally left a cool knife in my car so if it keeps happening you might get a little treat.”
Due to this many called to cancel Seth Rogen as they felt he spoke from a place of privilege. However, they failed to see the fact that Rogen spoke to Neistat, who is also a multi-millionaire. Despite that, there certainly is truth to the increased crime rate in Los Angeles as 10,000+ burglaries have taken place this year, including a 10% surge in car burglaries.
