Timothée Chalamet is certainly one of the rising stars in Hollywood right now. He made a name for himself in Call Me By Your Name and other films. It seems he gave massive props to Zendaya for a recent role as well.
Timothée Chalamet starred in this year’s hit film Dune, where he portrayed the role of protagonist Paul Atreides. Fans and critics alike lauded him for his excellent portrayal of the character.
The film also featured various well-known actors such as Dave Bautista, Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa and also Zendaya. Zendaya portrayed the role of Chani. While trailers made it seem Zendaya would have a bigger role in the film, she ended up having a handful of scenes and about seven minutes of total screen time.
While speaking to Deadline, Timothée Chalamet admitted that he was inspired by Zendaya’s portrayal of Chani in Dune. He added that it was incredible to witness as well.
“She is Chani, and it’s incredible to witness. From the get-go, she was that character, and it was inspiring to see. I love the shot in the movie of Chani pulling the mask down for the first time; it feels properly momentous. But even on the day, it was like, Holy sh*t, Chani has arrived.”
Timothée Chalamet said that his success is due to not being in superhero shows. As reported earlier, Zendaya will have a bigger role in the sequel to Dune. We will have to wait and see when the second film will release.
