“Rumble,” a co-production between WWE Studios and Paramount Animation, will premier exclusively on Paramount+, according to Mandatory. Rumble is an animated feature movie that will premier on the CBS-owned streaming service December 15.
The movie will feature an ensemble voice cast of WWE champions Roman Reigns and Becky Lynch, Terry Crews, Will Arnett, Geraldine Viswanathan, Stephen A. Smith, Susan Kelechi Watson, Tony Danza, Charles Barkley, Ben Schwartz, Chris Eubank, Michael Buffer, Fred Melamed, Bridget Everett, Jimmy Tatro, and Carlos Gomez.
WWE made the announcement Friday. It said “Rumble” is filled with entertainment and that the original animated family film celebrates life as well as moments that lead to success.
“In a world where monster wrestling is a global sport and monsters are superstar athletes, ‘Rumble’s’ teenage Winnie (voiced by Viswanathan) seeks to follow in her father’s footsteps by coaching a loveable underdog monster into a champion.”
The film is adapted from the graphic novel “Monster on the Hill” by Rob Harrel. Hamish Grieve has directed the movie, with screenplay written by Grieve and Matt Lieberman. Watch the trailer below:
