Eminem’s stalker who became his burglar, Matthew David Hughes, the man who twice broke into homes looking for Eminem is back on the prowl. The dangerous convict tried to hunt him down back in 2020 in an effort to kill the Rap God.
According to Hip Hop DX, Hughes, 28, was sentenced to five years probation after serving 524 days in jail. The stalker reportedly violated his probation after he assaulted a mall security guard and lost his parole. Hughes was already serving his parole since April last year when he decided to go frenzy again.
Hughes was originally charged with first-degree home invasion and threatening destruction of property. He pleaded no contest to second-degree home invasion in exchange for the former charges being dropped. On November 22, Monday, Hughes pled guilty in Macomb County Circuit Court for failing to show up for his probation appointment back on September 30.
In April 2020, the infamous Eminem’s stalker broke into the Detroit rapper’s Clinton Township house. He even threatened to kill Em. Eminem allegedly woke up to Hughes towering over his bed. Hughes was then escorted out of his house where a security guard restrained him until police arrived
According to court records, Hughes also pleaded not guilty to assaulting the security guard. His attorney Richard Glanda knew nothing of Hughes’ whereabouts for he remained homeless upon being arrested.
Hughes is currently being held in the county jail on $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to be sentenced on December 15 for his parole violation.
