LeBron James finally made his return during the Lakers game against the Detroit Pistons. Unfortunately, his return did not pan out the way he expected as James was ejected from the game. This is because a huge brawl broke out after James accidentally hit Detroit forward Isaiah Stewart.
This resulted in Isaiah Stewart bleeding heavily from the eye after getting elbowed by LeBron James. Naturally, fans dragged LeBron James on social media for the injury.
Even Shaquille O’Neal stated that Isaiah Stewart’s reaction to getting hit by LeBron James was not an overreaction whatsoever. O’Neal added that James wasn’t a dirty guy as well.
While speaking to Melissa Rohlin recently, Isaiah Stewart talked about LeBron James injuring him. Stewart stated that he felt LeBron James’ elbow to Stewart’s face was by no means an accident.
“I watched the film. Me personally, I didn’t feel like it was an accident, but it’s my last time addressing it. My main focus right now is on my team.”
LeBron James also recently stated that he felt he shouldn’t have been suspended for the injury. LeBron James even personally apologized to Isaiah Stewart after the incident. Now that James is back, we certainly hope the Los Angeles Lakers will be able to gain some momentum again after their latest win.
