Van Lathan Speaks Out On Confronting Kanye West Over Saying Slavery Is A Choice

Many consider Kanye West a true genius when it comes to being a businessman and also as an artist. It is hard to argue with that fact as West has proven time and time again why he is one of the best ever. It seems West was confronted by Van Lathan for a good reason.

Kanye West’s music has touched the souls of many fans all over the world and he has continued to break records over the years. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t respect his peers.

Despite all of his success, Kanye West is also a very controversial figure, as his past actions and words have shown that off over the years. It seems Van Lathan even confronted him about it.

While speaking to VladTV, Van Lathan reflected on his decision to verbally confront Kanye West over his views on slavery. Lathan said that he wasn’t going to say anything until Kanye challenged the room at TMZ’s offices.

While he understood what Kanye was trying to say with his “slavery was a choice” remarks, he still felt the rapper viewed slaves as weak while he viewed them as signs of strength. Lathan also revealed he regretted rejecting Kanye West’s invite to talk about the matter at his place.
