2003 film Elf starring Will Ferrell has been regarded as one of the quintessential Christmas films of all time. Every year families watch the film on Christmas. Now it seems Faizon Love has an interesting take about its sequel.
While speaking to TMZ, Faizon Love stated that a potential sequel to the Christmas classic doesn’t necessarily need Will Ferrell again. He added that the sequel film should star a black person.
The actor, who played the store manager in the original “Elf,” stated that he couldn’t believe Will Ferrell turned down a $29 million offer for a sequel. This simply leaves the door open for a new direction now.
With Will Ferrell no longer in the franchise, Love stated that a Black elf into the storyline and that fans would embrace the change. Faizon saidAmerica got warmed up with a Black president and then an “orange” president.
Faizon Love will definitely be appearing in the potential sequel film. It remains to be seen whether the sequel will have a black elf or not.
