LeBron James was recently suspended by the NBA for a cheap shot in a game the Los Angeles Lakers comfortably had in hand against the Detroit Pistons. King James drew blood with an elbow to the head of Isaiah Stewart, resulting in a one-game suspension. James lost nearly $300,000 due to the disciplinary action.
The two went back-and-forth over the incident, which nearly caused a bench-clearing brawl in Detroit. LeBron says he was just playing ball. Stewart contends that it was an intentional shot.
Now, 50 Cent is weighing in on the situation. He says the Pistons will get revenge on LeBron and the Lakers. 50 believes the Pistons will avenge Stewart in the form of a victory against James’ team. He let his prediction be known on Twitter as the Lakers faced the Pistons in L.A.
“This what i was saying when Lebron bust a n*gga eye on the ball court. see when we down 12 point a n*gga can lose a eye, a tooth or his hearing but we coming back for the win we getting that W. KANAN state of mind LOL”
The Lakers prevailed with a 110-106 victory on Sunday night. LeBron James barely missed a triple double, tallying 33 points, 9 assists, and 5 boards in 37 minutes. Isaiah Stewart played 27 minutes. The big man logged a paltry 5 points, 1 assist, and 6 rebounds.
The Lakers are now back at .500 (11-11) and appear to be heading in the right direction after LeBron’s return to the lineup following an abdominal injury and his suspension. The Pistons situation is much more desperate. The team is sitting at 4-16 and looking for answers.
