Baron Vidar had a unique experience at a concert last week. The fan, who was crowd surfing as over-the-top metal band GWAR performed on stage, lost a part of himself. It wasn’t some euphoric endorphin release brought on by the show, either. His prosthetic leg was ripped off and dropped into the crowd.

After riding the surf of humanity to the front of the stage, Baron screamed for the band’s attention. According to TMZ, he caught the eye of the members of the band. Then, they helped him get his missing limb back.

The entire scenario was caught on camera by fans. The band posted it to their Instagram account. They say things like this have happened before, just not on video.

“Not the first (or last) time someone lost a body part in the GWAR pit. This time it was just caught on video…”

GWAR is famous for their high-energy, often shocking performances. This time, they showed that they’ve also got good hearts too. After stopping the show, their guitarist made an announcement to the jam-packed crowd.

“If anybody’s got a fake leg out there, or got an extra fake leg, send it this way cuz this guy needs his f*cking leg.”

Baron was able to get his prosthetic reattached. He enjoyed the rest of the show without any additional problems. Now, he’s got an unbelievable story about the time he lost his leg at a GWAR concert. That’s so metal.
