Confused fans and trolls alike have made singer Omarion a trending topic on social media. After the designation of the latest variant of the pandemic COVID-19 virus as “Omicron,” Americans unfamiliar with the Greek alphabet took to Twitter to discuss the news.
Once the trolls found out, a bevy of hilarious tweets and memes rolled in. Video edits of the R&B singer were the order of the day. The Omarion Variant would make a killer album title.
“in line for my booster rn. omarion will not dance his way into my life.”
“Can we all just agree to call it the Omarion variant and stop debating pronunciation.”
“Omarion should get in the studio and drop new music. Because he finna be the talk of the town until the next variant wave.”
There are plenty of hilarious posts regarding the Omarion variant, and they keep pouring in. While it’s normally a negative to be associated with a deadly virus, we’ll have to wait and see what the singer thinks of the whole thing. You know what they say, “No publicity is bad publicity!”
The man himself has not commented on this situation. It is a rather unfortunate confusion.
