“Home Alone” has become a timeless family holiday classic. The whacky movie finds a young Kevin McCallister (Macauly Culkin) left to fend for himself against two bungling burglars while his family tries to get home from Paris after realizing they forgot him. It’s a flimsy premise, but anybody who’s seen the movie knows it just works.
One of the real stars of the movie is the McCallister’s home. Kevin devises all kinds of clever (and violent) traps to stop the crooks. Now, TMZ is reporting that fans have an opportunity to recreate their favorite memories in the iconic home, just in time for Christmas!
Up to four guests can enjoy an overnight stay at the iconic landmark. It only costs $25, but the opportunity is so rare it’ll be nearly impossible to catch. One lucky winner, though, will get the Home Alone experience in all i’s glory.
The house will be fully decorated for the holiday season. It even includes a decked-out Christmas tree. Maybe there’s a VHS tape of Kevin’s favorite rubbish, “Angels with Filthy Souls.” The possibilities are endless!
Bookings are available from December 7 through the 12th. Airbnb will commemorate the special occasion with a donation to the La Rabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago. Visitors must adhere to strict COVID-19 guidelines.
The stay also comes with a Home Alone lego kit to keep as a souvenir of your stay. For only $25, it’s the bargain of a lifetime. There are sure to be thousands of Home Alone fanatics vying for the coveted experience. It will be much more satisfying than the new Disney+ reboot.
