Patrick Mahomes and LeBron James had a Twitter exchange session recently. Following that episode on Nov. 28, Mahomes revealed his friendship status with the pro basketball player.
The internet universe seemed to be colliding as they saw two legends from different sports sharing common experiences. One of basketball’s biggest stars, LeBron James, and one of football’s biggest stars, Patrick Mahomes, have more than just sports in common — they are both proud dads.
Patrick is a first time father as he welcomed his new-born daughter, Sterling Skye Mahomes. Her newly born daughter is less than 12 months old and Patrick seems to be euphoric about his parenting experience. Mahomes delighted over the experience in a tweet on Nov. 28. He wrote, “Being a dad is cool!” LeBron, who has three kids of his own, related to the message and retweeted, “Coolest thing ever!!!”
Fans went wild over the interaction between two of the hottest athletes in their respective games. On Nov. 29, Patrick opened up further about his relationship with LeBron in a radio interview according to Hollywood Life. He has had a conversation with LeBron a couple of times and that seems to be how their friendship started. Both the athletes share tons of mutual respect and admiration for each other.
“I’ve talked to him a couple of times and kind of built a little bit of a friendship there. I mean, obviously, I have a ton of respect for the guy, but it was kind of a spur-of-the-moment tweet.”
He was playing with his nine-month-old daughter when he randomly blasted out the tweet, which LeBron responded to. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback adores James’ children. He expressed how great athletes James’ sons and daughter are. Apart from being great athletes, they are also great humans.
Patrick also shared the moment when he spoke to LeBron for the first time. It, according to him, was a surreal moment. Patrick reveals how great a person he finds LeBron to be. He also received some big advise from the pro basketball player back then.
