Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson needs no introduction when it comes to the pro wrestling world as he is still regarded as one of the all-time greats. He is also a dominant force in Hollywood and brings huge star power to any film he acts in. The Rock is also a businessman and a very conniving one at that. He also loves keeping himself in the best physical shape possible.
The Rock also starred in yet another blockbuster movie as he acted alongside Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot in the action-comedy film Red Notice. It was said that the film is the most expensive ever produced by Netflix as well.
The film saw The Rock portraying the role of ‘the FBI’s top profiler’ while Gal Gadot portrayed the world’s greatest art thief. Ryan Reynolds played the world’s greatest con artist.
As reported earlier, the film ended up smashing opening day records at Netflix. In fact, it was even on pace to becoming the most-watched Netflix movie of all time. The film ended up becoming the most-watched film as well soon after. Now it seems the film broke yet another record.
The Rock took to Twitter and thanked fans as he revealed that the film has been seen by almost 60% of all Netflix users and with an audience score of 92%
I also received confirmation (these metrics take time to be verified from the Wall Street folks) that well over 50% (closer to 60%) of all @netflix accounts have viewed RED NOTICE with an INCREDIBLE 92% AUDIENCE SCORE
THANK U GUYS!! @Chloe_Melas
While the film has broken records, it didn’t fare as well when it came to its critical reception. Many critics panned it for being a generic action flick. It could be argued that most of the Rock’s most successful films fall into that category. It comes down to the simple process of don’t fix what isn’t broken, and it has served The Rock well so far.
