Alec Baldwin is certainly one of the most well-known and established actors in all of Hollywood. Baldwin is known for his comedy roles but also does serious roles from time to time. He made the news for all the wrong reasons after accidentally shooting a crew member.
As reported earlier, Alec Baldwin was confirmed to be the person who fired the prop gun that killed a female crew member, revealed to be the cinematographer. It took place on the sets of Baldwin’s upcoming western film, Rust.
The actor will speak in detail out about the Rust tragedy in his first sit-down interview, which will air Thursday on ABC.
It was said that two crew members were shot and injured on the Bonanza Creek Ranch set and taken to a hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The woman would lose her life after succumbing to her injury. The woman in question was revealed to be Halyna Hutchins, the movie’s director of photography.
While speaking to anchor George Stephanopoulos, Alec Baldwin was asked about pulling the trigger that ultimately killed the crew member. Baldwin claimed that he did not pull the trigger at all.
“Well, the trigger wasn’t pulled. I didn’t pull the trigger.”
The Rock also previously stated that he will no longer use real guns on sets of his films after the tragic incident concerning Alec Baldwin. We certainly hope such a tragedy never happens again.
