Jacqueline Avant‘s shooter was caught by the police an hour after the incident had taken place. However, he was found in the most puzzling circumstances, as he had accidently placed a gunshot wound on himself.
Avant’s shooter was captured in a video, where cops were strolling him away in a wheelchair. The need for the wheelchair arose because the shooter, identified as Aariel Maynor, had accidently shot himself on his foot.
Maynor, according to the cops. had tried to break into another home and traveled for Beverly Hills to Hollywood Hills. Somehow in the process of breaking into the house, he had shot his own leg.
Aariel Maynor carried an AR-15 with him, and had inflicted the wound on himself with the same weapon. Maynor was being treated by the paramedics who arrived on the scene and then got carried off into an ambulance.
TMZ reported the story of Maynor’s arrest. His connection to the shooting was established through neighborhood surveillance. Beverly Hills Police Chief Mark Stainbrook revealed in a press conference that the question of whether Maynor committed the crime out of personal vendetta or randomness remains to be known.
