Lebron James is finally set to return to the court. He was placed under NBA’s health and safety protocol after being tested positive for Covid-19.
LeBron initially tested positive for COVID-19 just hours before the Lakers vs. Kings game using a lateral flow test. He then tested negative on a follow-up PCR test. He was given a third, tiebreaker test which came back positive and he was sent home to L.A. from the Lakers’ road trip in Northern California
The star player has been taking multiple tests and all came out as negative. The previous positive test turned out to inconclusive after re-run. Lebron is now eligible to play in the Laker’s next game against the Clippers.
Previously, NBA had implemented a rule saying players who test positive must either sit out 10 days or submit at least two negative PCR tests before returning to game action. NBA later released a statement about Lebron saying “he is not a positive case.”
Lebron seemed a little upset over the contradicting test results and took to Twitter to channel his distress. Watch this tweet of Lebron below.
