Lil Meech and Michael Rainey Jr. have been involved in a playful social media feud lately. The two are both experiencing the success of their shows, “Power Book II: Ghost” and “BMF.” The pretend feud has all been in good fun.
Now, 50 Cent is involved. He’s been hyping up the barbs between Rainey and Meech. Meech asked Rainey if he was scared in the comments of one of 50’s posts. Fifty egged the two on, according to HotNewHipHop.
“What’s going on @lilmeechbmf said @michaelraineyjr scared. why would he say some shit like that? I don’t know i’m not in it !”
Fans of both shows have watched the hilarious fake fight develop. Now that 50 Cent is involved, a lot more eyes will come to their back-and-forth. It’s a perfectly fun, wholesome way to promote their shows on social media.
Last week, 50 Cent, Michael Rainey Jr., and Lil Meech combined for almost a dozen posts about the pretend TV war. If the guys (and fans) are having fun, they might as well let it continue. It’s doing nothing but bringing more eyes to their projects.
Both “Power Book II” and “BMF” air on Starz. 50 Cent serves as an executive producer for both. Whether it was intentional or not, their “feud” is generating new interest in each show.
