YoungBoy Never Broke Again is one of the best rapper artists in the 2021. Despite being behind bars, the rapper released his album ‘Sincerely, Kentrell’ reached the top spot in the Billboard Top 200. The album accomplished the feat without having any features.
NBA YoungBoy also followed it up with a compilation album alongside many fellow rappers such as Quando Rondo, NoCap, Meechy Baby & P Yungin. As his first project after partnering with Motown Records, YoungBoy showcased his artists with a highly effective record.
Even though the rapper received no collaborators for his studio album, rumors have been around saying that the rapper had a chance to collaborate with J. Cole. However, the rapper allegedly didn’t go for the opportunity, and made Cole wait for eight hours.
The rumor came from DJ Akademiks. However, YoungBoy has taken it upon himself to eradicate the rumors, and released a statement. In a recent clubhouse conversation with Akademiks, YoungBoy wiped the slate clean and addressed the rumors.
They lied and said I stood J. Cole up, man. They lied and said I wouldn’t go to the studio with him. I know who told somebody that too, though. Because it was only a few people who knew about that and that wasn’t even the case. I was mad at that moment, I was going through something, so what the fuck I’m gonna go in this man’s studio session for a meet-up with him knowing that I ain’t in the mood to talk or in the mood to, you know, fuck around. [They were saying] YB acting like a bitch or something, but what the fuck I’m gonna go around this man for if I know I ain’t in the mood to talk to nobody or sit down and even be around somebody.
YoungBoy explained that he was simply not in the mood to collaborate, let alone talk to anyone. Even though that was an opportunity missed by him, he might find it again. J. Cole is undoubtedly one of the biggest rappers, and YoungBoy is on his way to secure a similar status in his rap career.
