Dr. Oz isn’t getting a warm welcome from the crowded field vying for the Republican nomination for US Senate in Pennsylvania’s next election. The TV snake oil salesman who mysteriously decided that he is qualified to make laws was recently ripped by one of his opponents in the primary race. Everett Stern is confident that Dr. Oz has no chance.
Everett Stern is the CEO of a private intelligence service. He is one of at least seven GOP candidates trying to earn the nomination. According to TMZ, Stern doesn’t think Dr. Oz will be able to take the heat of a political debate.
“If I was in a debate with him, he’d be off that stage within, I would say two minutes. I pray I get him on stage as soon as possible, because I will annihilate him in a debate. Because when the real issues come up and it really comes down to brass tacks…
This guy might have a hundred million and he might be a celebrity. But when it comes down to it, I will demolish this guy… He’s going to learn real fast with me… that this is real life. This is not Hollywood.
This is going to be the real deal. He’s going to lose. And he’s going to lose hard. It’s going to be a major embarrassment.”
“The Dr. Oz Show” will be pulled from the air in Pennsylvania and bordering markets including New York in an effort to make sure all candidates receive equal air time. If Everett Stern is to be believed, his fans in PA won’t have to wait long to see him back on television talking about superfoods and immunoboosters. On the Democratic side, PA Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman has a hefty war chest built up. The progressive Fetterman and U.S. Representative Conor Lamb appear to be the frontrunners for the blue party.
