The Memphis rapper, Young Dolph was recently gunned down in broad daylight while he was picking up goodies for Thanksgiving at a cookie shop. A private funeral was held for him on November 30, but a public service is also planned.
While it was closed to the public community, activist Pastor Earle Fisher recently revealed a public ceremony for Dolph will be held at FedExForum on December 16,located in downtown Memphis. The venue holds approximately 19,000 people.
Dolph’s fan have been gathering outside the cookie shop ,where he was murdered, since the day of shooting to pay their respect. They left flowers, balloons and candles at the site as they mourn the late rapper.
Young Dolph’s casket was transported to Calvary Cemetery after the First Baptist Church Broad Avenue service. The getaway car has been found but no arrests have been made so far.
The late CEO was only 36 when he was killed. A day after the murder, Memphis Police released surveillance photos of two men believed to be responsible for the murder, but they are still on the run. We hope justice will be served soon.
