Ted Cruz Says WTA Has More Guts Than NBA Referring Peng Shuai Disappearance

United States Senator Ted Cruz is thrashing the NBA showering praise on the WTA on a human rights violation note. The Senator points out the sheer difference in both the leagues in approaching human rights violations perpetrated by China.

The Senator recently announced that The Women’s Tennis Association has got more guts than the NBA. He added that he wants to see the NBA and other sports organization to take inspiration from the WTA. Such courageous act should be contagious according to him.

“I’ll tell ya something right now,. The Women’s Tennis Association has bigger balls than the NBA. And I’d like to see courage be contagious and more people stand up.”

Cruz announced the same in an interview with the “Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show” on Thursday. The topic of discussion was the disappearance of tennis star player, Peng Shuai. Top athletes and organizations across the country have also demanded proof of the star’s whereabouts and if she is okay.

The Women’s Tennis Association has shown extraordinary gallantry by calling out the Chinese communist government. The league demanded Peng Shuai to be released and set free. They’ve put their money where their mouth is to know every possible insights.

Cruz then highlighted WTA’s action to cancel all events in China. This move is estimated to cost them “millions or hundreds of millions of dollars.” The senator took this opportunity to unload her shots on the National Basketball Association.

“The NBA groveled on their knees before the communist dictators. You had people like LeBron James defending the communist dictators who engage in murder and torture and run concentration camps.”

Cruz is referring to the controversy ignited when then-Rockets GM Daryl Morey tweeted support for protestors in Hong Kong in 2019.

China was furious and Cruz believes the NBA bowed to the country, prioritizing cash over human rights. Since Morey‘s comments, James has taken heat for his perceived failure to highlight serious issues in China.
