The celebrity kids usually have a hard time coping with the exposure that comes with their parent’s fame, Jamie Foxx’s daughter was no different. In a recent interview on Togethxr’s More Than A Name project, Corrine Fox revealed how she considered changing her last name to have her own identity away from her A-list father.

Corinne was born to parents Jamie Foxx and Connie Kline. In the interview, Corinne also referenced her mom, who is both an Air Force veteran and a professional accountant.

“My parents did a really good job at instilling in me that my dad’s fame and the red carpet premieres and all of that, that was not normal,” She explained how her parents did a very good job in not letting the fame get to her.

“I’m proud of my dad and I’m proud of who he is and I’m proud of the work he’s done. I’m proud of just the person that he is,” said Corrine. She disclosed how she has now made peace with the fact that people are going to think about her and she has no control over it.

The eldest daughter of Jamie is a University Of Southern California grad who has pursued her career in acting, just like her dad. She has appeared in horror sequel 47 Meters Down: Uncaged, as well as Safety, and All-Star Weekend.

During her senior years of high school, Jamie recalls being told by her peers that she doesn’t need to go to college and can directly get into the entertainment world as doors will always be open for her but Jamie never wanted to be known just for her dad. She wanted to make her own name and do things all by herself.

Jamie has since grown into loving her last name and we couldn’t be happier for her. She is proud of it and plans to hold onto it despite what people think of her.
