Jay-Z celebrated his 52nd birthday today. Simultaneously, Roc Nation settled a lawsuit related to his cousin Briant Biggs who allegedly scammed a gaming company.
Biggs was accused of working with a group that was fundraising $1.5 million for a new subsidiary division of Roc Nation called Unanimous Games. The games focused on eSports and the video game industry.
Blueprint’s CEO Ryan Collision filed a complaint against Briant. Ryan felt safe with the investment now as he was promised his investment would be repaid with interest by March of 2021 – at the latest.
Briant Biggs told Collision that rappers like Yo Gotti and Meek Mill would participate in a $1.5 million raise for the gaming company, but it never happened. In July of 2021, Biggs also told a Blueprint representative that Unanimous Games would be receiving a $5 million investment.
After providing Blueprint with documents, the company found out that Biggs had paid himself tens of thousands of dollars from Unanimous Games in 2019 and 2020. According to the documents obtained by AllHipHop, the tangled mess has been sorted out. On 3rd, December Roc Nation and Blueprint managed to end the dispute.
Although terms of the agreement have not been released, lawyers settled for an undisclosed amount. According to the Stipulation of Discontinuance, Blueprint has dismissed the lawsuit against Roc Nation. Blueprint has the right to refile the lawsuit if the settlement is not consummated promptly. Jay-Z celebrated his 52nd birthday with this good news.
