Jones Jones has revealed he decline a lucrative offer that would have made him $80k per month from Hennessey’s sister company. He talked about the deal in a tweet Saturday.
The 34-year-old has not had a professional bout since February last year. His last fight was against Dominick Reyes, which saw Jones retain his UFC light heavyweight title.
‘Bony’ would go on to vacate the title the very same year, announcing he had set his sights on the prestigious heavyweight title currently held by Francis Ngannou, who won it this year on March 27.

Saturday’s tweet comes days after a judge reset the date for his domestic violence case. The former UFC champion was arrested in September following an alleged altercation with his partner that also saw him slam his own head on the hood of a patrol vehicle.
The incident reportedly took place outside Caesars Palace in the wee hours of Friday (Sept. 24). Jones was arrested following the incident by the Las Vegas police. He is currently free on an $8,000 bail.
