Erykah Badu Responds To Criticism Of Age Gap With Fiancé

Erykah Badu has a new man and he is 23 years younger than her. This week, Erykah formally introduced the world to her man by sharing a cute photo dump on Instagram. This celebration of love was amid talks of engagement.

JaRon Adkison described himself as a “Music Producer, Audio Engineer, Artist, Songwriter, Author” on his Instagram page. JaRon has photos of him with Erykah that go back to 2018 on his page. So it seems the two have been romantically involved for some time now.

Adkison is reportedly 27-years-old and Badu is 50-years-old. It appears their relationship has steadily blossomed into something permanent regardless of the age gap. Erykah Badu doesn’t appreciate all the gossip surrounding it.

She was forced to defend her choices after being slammed for dating someone who could be her son. Her eldest son with André 3000 is 24-year-old “Seven Sirius Benjamin”. The mom of three has 2 other baby daddies, The D.O.C. and Jay Electronica.

The “On & On” singer took to twitter to shut down the haters. “Why every time there is an article about a woman over 30 the journalists mentions the age ?” she asked on Twitter. “Erykah badu’ , 50 does the splits … e. Badu 50, had feelings …’ It ain’t my birthday, or death day . So, What does this MEAN ? (my grill cold tho)“, Badu tweeted.

Erykah really doesn’t like being reminded of her age. She questioned why people always feel entitled to mention her and other women’s ages (over thirty) when stories are being written about them.
