Gwyneth Paltrow Doesn’t Realize The Marvel Cinematic Universe Exists

Gwyneth Paltrow doesn’t remember a significant part of her career. The exploding vagina candle mogul seems to forget a lot about the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That would be understandable, if she didn’t appear in the franchise herself.

Paltrow didn’t know that she was in Spider-Man: Homecoming. She once forgot that Samuel L. Jackson played Nick Fury. Now, she admits that she doesn’t know that there’s a Hawkeye television series. In an ask me anything session on her Instagram, Paltrow was queried about whether she’s seen the new Hawkeye show.

“No, what is that?”

According to Uproxx, Gwyneth recently addressed her ignorance of the MCU. She said she doesn’t have time for it and that it’s stupid. There are just too many movies for a mother to keep track of.

“It is confusing because there are so many Marvel movies, and to be honest, I haven’t seen very many of them. It’s really stupid and I’m sorry, but I’m a 47-year-old mother.”

Whether she remembers appearing in the MCU or not, the checks keep coming. As a franchise, the Marvel superheroes have brought in more than $23 billion in worldwide box office receipts. When there’s that much money involved, it’s understandable to forget all the lore.
