Russell Westbrook’s skills as a professional basketball player speak for themselves. This is because he is a nine-time NBA All-Star and earned the NBA Most Valuable Player Award for the 2016–17 season. It seems LeBron James opened up about his lack of chemistry with Westbrook.
Westbrook was acquired by the Los Angeles Lakers earlier this year and there were a lot of expectations from him. For many fans, he simply did not live up to expectations.
The Los Angeles Lakers simply haven’t been having a good time this season as they have been plagued by multiple injuries and controversies, especially when it comes to LeBron James.
While speaking with Michael Corvo of ClutchPoints, LeBron James was asked about his new teammate Russell Westbrook and if they managed to build good chemistry or not. James admitted that he simply hasn’t played enough with Westbrook to properly understand whether they can be a cohesive unit or not in the season.
“We haven’t had enough games together to know exactly what’s gonna work the best for our team long term.”
LeBron James was also angry with NBA’s Health and Safety protocols after being forced to miss games due to false COVID-19 positive tests. Despite the haphazard way of conducting the tests, the Los Angeles Lakers can be assured that LeBron James is healthy and be able to play games regularly now.
